If you click through to the wheel, you will now have the option to view both your wheel and pedal settings. You should now see the wheel in your G Hub software. When plugging in the usb do not have your hands on the wheel as this will begin the calibration process and rotate through the full motion of the wheel. Now you have the software and the wheel set-up plug the usb directly into your computer. This piece of software is where you will be able to adjust the general settings of the wheel and update any needed drivers. Step 2: Software and driversīefore plugging in the usb to your computer, you will need to download a piece of software known as logitech G Hub, this can be found via Logitech’s support website. If you’re not currently using a Sim Rig, then this is a great addition to help them. One thing to note is on the bottom of the pedals there is a rotable grip pad that can be used on carpet to avoid the pedals slipping during use. Once this is done, attach the wheel and pedals to your driving rig or desk setup. This is important as without power the force feedback function will not be engaged. The first step, before even plugging the wheel into the PC is to make sure that you have both the power and pedal connectors plugged into the wheelbase. So in short, yes, the G29/G920 is compatible with Xbox One, Playstation 5 and PC. The G29 is compatible with Playstation and PC, whilst the G920 is compatible with Xbox and PC. However, as mentioned previously, the difference between G29 and G920 is based on which of these consoles the wheel is compatible with. As well as being compatible with PC, it is also compatible with the Xbox Series X and Playstation 5, meaning that you can enjoy this wheel on whichever platform you so wish. The Logitech G29/G920 is a great wheel when it comes to compatibility, especially regarding the brand-new next-gen consoles. The Logitech G29/G920 is an absolutely superb package, especially for beginners, however, it doesn’t fail to satisfy experienced sim racers. Aside from that, they are essentially the same wheel. The G29 also features shift lights and additional controls. There are some slight differences between the two wheels, however, the most significant being that the G920 is compatible with Xbox while the G29 with Playstation. It will cover the first time setup, how to connect to the game and some recommended setting changes within Assetto Corsa Competizione itself. In any case, this guide will cover the initial set up process for the Logitech G29/G920 driving wheel. I drive a manual car in real life with a clutch and all, and i understand its use somewhat, but i am not a real life racer (surprize!) so im curious if it effects real life performance or is it just there to make the experience more life-like.So you’ve just unboxed your new wheel? Or maybe you’ve been a long time Logitech user and are looking to find the best settings for the Logitech G29 to make you faster. So what would be the best solution here? Is there some setting that i have overlooked that would allow me to tweak the brake to my liking? Or would it be best if i just switch to the clutch pedal? Is manual clutch a big deal? Im fairly new to simracing so at the moment i dont use clutch at all, but i reckon in the future i might want to use it once i get the basic handling of the car figured out. Ideally, if i could push that slider to 10-20 percent more that would be perfect, but i havent really found anyway to do that.Īlternately, I figured I could just use the clutch pedal as the brake, but then that would mean missing out on manual clutching. The in-game settings allow me to set the maximum brake limit at 50 percent, which is better than default, but still a bit too much to my liking. Now as things stand, when i press the pedal, i can only press to about 25-30 percent comfortably, then i can get to 50-60 percent with some force, and then anything above that requires so much force that im worried ill break something. Now I am aware that this is a known issue with a hardware fix (removing the rubber from the brake), but i would prefer a less invasive solution.
